  1. What is the Laboratory Operating time?

    Saturdays to Wednesdays from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
    Thursdays from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm

  2. At what time the reception and sampling of clients can be done?

    Reception and Blood sampling would be done on Saturday to Wednesday from 6:45 am to 7:00 pm and on Thursdays from 6:45 am to 5:00 pm.
    In the case of tests that require fasting, clients should adhere to the fasting conditions for 10-12 hours and come in for test the next morning.

  3. Do I need to book an appointment with the laboratory?

  4. What information does the laboratory need for test collection?

    Your doctor's prescription is required for the reception, otherwise, if you personally request a routine test, it is necessary to receive a special test form from our colleagues in the Reception Section and deliver it after completion.

  5. Is it necessary to provide National ID card to do the test?

    For some tests, including a panel of tests for hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, blood grouping, pregnancy and bone marrow transplantation, a valid identification card is required.

  6. Which tests need fasting?

    For tests such as FBS & BS, blood lipids (triglycerides), and etc., please read the "Fasting Instructions" in the "Patient's Guide".

  7. What are the maximum hours of fasting? How does increase in fasting time affect the test result?

    If your doctor has not advised you on this, it is best to have a fast onset of 10 to 12 hours. Fasting means to avoid taking any kind of food or drink (except water). Increasing fasting time leads to false positive or false negative answers.

  8. What is the best time to go to the lab for tests requiring fasting?

    Between 6:30 am and 10:00 am, preferably in the morning after awakening with no exercise and physical activity.

  9. If fasting is necessary for the test, is it possible to take daily medications?

    Please consult with your physician in this area.

  10. What is the fasting period for infants?

    It is recommended that the time of referral to the laboratory be adjusted so that the test is done before the next lactation. For example, if your baby is breastfeeding every four hours, three and a half hours after the last breast feeding would be the best time for doing the test.

  11. Why should I repeat my test?

    Sometimes, in order to ensure from the test result, for the evaluation of result or to ensure from a treatment the test would be required to be repeated.

  12. Is it possible for laboratory to give explanation on my result? For instance, suggestions on some tests?

    Please ask your doctor to interpret the test results. The doctor will have consultation with the laboratory if necessary.
